The most important part in IT is developing your analytical skills and having a good coding knowledge, it doesn't require you to know many coding languages, it all depends about the depth in that particular language and try to build some projects with coding. These all things will assure you an IT job with a package of around 15-20 Lacs as a fresher.

After the ITI course, the student can pursue a diploma course through lateral entry, which will take three years to complete. The second step is to sit for JEE Advanced after completing the Diploma course, after which the student is eligible to get admission in the IITs. If this method does not work, then students can use the lateral entry scheme in state engineering colleges. As the student would have already completed the diploma course, the B.Tech programme will be completed in three years.

You can definitely change after your first year at Pune University. The procedure includes fulfilling some requirements, First of all, you will need a very good aggregate in the first year. You will need NOC from your previous college. You will require your 1st-year marksheet and your class 10th and 12th mark sheets. It is really a very easy procedure, many of my friends have also followed these steps and successfully changed from one college to another without much hassle.
