For general category in any NIT, and for top NITs needs 3 digit rank atleast. Below 5000, it is hard to get CSE in any NIT (lower also), but can get after few rounds of JoSAA counselling.

In Coimbatore you may get civil engineering also. My personal advice is join choose engineering branch that you want rather than choosing campus ( because three campuses have their own pros and cons)

I was not good at Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. I am a general category student. I did not wanted to waste my one year preparing for something which I knew I was not apt enough for. So its time for you to decide this now, and remember Do not let something Good go in search for something Better, because you never know that the good will prevail till then or van
