SRM University never announced branch wise cut-off. Officially there is no cut-off marks or ranks for CSE and other branches. Seats will be filled based on availability through SRMJEEE online counseling. Based on your choice filling allotment will be given as per availability of seats. If there will be no vacancies on your SRMJEEE rank you won't be alloted any branch as per your choice filling because there will be only one choice filling option.Based on my experience CSE is the highly demanded branch specially in kattankulathur campus because maximum aspirants will aim to get into CSE in kattankulathur campus. So the probability of getting cse in kattankulathur will be tough even you will secure a decent rank in SRMJEEE. Polytechnic Admission process is automated and conducted through a web based single window system by Department of Technical Education. Candidates are also required to visit the Admission Portal regularly for notifications and announcements. Registration process :
I) Candidates desirous of applying to Diploma Programmes shall register in the admission portal by remitting a fees of Rs. 200/- (For scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, it shall be Rs. 100/-)
ii) After the one time registration, Separate application shall be submitted for the following categories of seats:

Yes, you can do your graduation in CS. There are a lot of organizations who take up students less than required percentage. But friend what will you do after your graduation. To get a placement in any organisation/MNC you must meet a percentage criteria (60%or above) throughout academics. Its also not a good thought to repeat 12th. As this will introduce a hiatus in your education. By your question I can speculate that your area of interest might be in programming. What I will suggest is, join a college where you can get CS as your preferred stream and get command over a programming language. In case if you did not get through placements, do not get despondent rather join any organisation where you can utilize your skills/ what you have learnt throughout graduation, serve the organisation as a stalwart employee and then switch to your dream organisation.
