If you are doing a Master of technology with a good specialisation and your academics are good, then you can get a package in the range of INR 8 LPA to INR 15 LPA in mechanical. Few might get fewer packages around INR 5 LPA or INR 6 LPA. Even the universities which come to hire, pay more than INR 6 LPA. Mostly the package of all the companies is more for Master of Technology candidates than Bachelor of Technology candidates. Some keep the same package for both and the only exception is L&T whose Master of Technology package is even less than the Bachelor of Technology package.
