Hello, Aditi. Sorry to inform you this, that you won't be able to get placed in a Government college with that Rank. Try some private institutions which are top notch for better education or opt for long-term coaching and go for the best college than this.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering has always been the most preferred branch of engineering. Career opportunities in Mechanical Engineering have also been immense since its inception. Jobs after B.Tech Mechanical Engineering are easily available in both private and public sectors. In fact, the public sector is the most preferred sector for mechanical engineers. Maruti Suzuki, Larsen and Toubro Ltd. , Tata Motors, Infosys, TCS, Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL), Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), Coal India Limited (CIL), etc. Are some of the high paid recruiters of this domain.

About 35% of students were placed in the Government College of Engineering Yavatmal College. The highest salary package offered in our college is 6 LPA. The lowest average package offered in our college is 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Tech Mahindra, TCS, ACC, and HCL. About 35% of students got internships from our college.

May be you have a chance to get in government college depending on cut off. But not in popular government college. It is quite difficult to tell you about the cut off as it depends on various factors like: Number of aspirants appearing for the exam, Number of aspirants applying for the exam, Number of aspirants qualifying the exam, Difficulty level of the paper, Previous year cut off trend
with a sc category rank of 20,190 you do have chances in government colleges but you won't get into top branches or top colleges. You would have lower and newer NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
