In the NIRF 2022 ranking, Vellore Institute of Technology ranks 9 in the Engineering category. VIT University conducts the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE), and candidates must meet the VITEEE Cutoff to be admitted to VIT University's campuses for B.Tech.

Although you have made it to the next round but that doesn't change the fact that your percentile is quite low, though I can't say certainly but based on previous years trend you won't make it for any IIIT or NIT. Yes, you very certainly can. Depending on your area of interest, you can choose between a B.Sc. and a B.Tech in biotechnology. However, not all universities accept PCM students for B.Sc. Biotech programmes, whereas you are qualified for B.Tech biotech programmes everywhere. With PCM, you can pursue biotechnology, but you must also choose Biology.
