1. Review all the main topics as much as you can before the examination.
2. Solve the ESE full-length mock test and the previous year's question paper.
3. Effective time management is crucial in these last months of preparation. Time yourself section-wise for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
4. Allocate time for every section and try to complete each section in that time frame only. Don't overburden yourself. Recreational breaks are a necessity to refresh your mind, so try to take some breaks in between study times.
5. Take regular sleep and proper care of your diet because, without rest and a healthy diet, your brain won't be able to focus correctly.
6. Avoid guessing, If you are uncertain about a question, then it's better to leave it and solve the ones in which you are confident.
7. Short-Cut Techniques: Try to solve numerical problems using short techniques rather than traditional methods to save time in exams. Beware of marks per question, negative marking, and exam duration while attempting the ESE Exam. I hope this will help you.

Apart from ESE, GATE, and PSUs many exams are held to recruit in various organizations in India, such as -
1- Railway recruitment board (SSE & JE )- RRB takes exams for junior engineers and senior section engineers. Although it is a group C job after 12 to 13 years of experience with time-to-time promotions you will be promoted to a group A job equivalent to an ESE/IES officer.
2- SSC-JE: it is a group B job and it is conducted for the recruitments in various posts in various departments such as Military Engineering Services (MS). you will be subordinate to an ESE/IES officer.
3- NPCIL: A subsidiary of Bhabha Atomic Research Center. Every year they conduct their own exams for recruitment usually in the month of June and July.
4- SAIL: It also conducts its own exam for recruitment.
5- Visakhapatnam - It is one of the units of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
6- DMRC/LMRC/NMRC/BMRC: It conducts exams for different technical posts.
7- AFCAT: This test is conducted by the IAF for the selection of officers in various branches of the Indian Air Force.
8- Some other PSUs are BEL, BSNL, HAL, MTNL, SCIL, RBI, EII, BARC, ECI, etc. Other than these exams State Engineering Services exams are conducted from time to time by different states.
