Not bad. Technical education will always be beneficial with respect to other areas. However prefer to do some Fashion design related undergraduate courses of NIFT. This will give you the right career direction with decent placement opportunities.

Hi,
As per question, there is no chance for you to get CSE/it/ ECE in categories 2or 3. Because VIT Vellore campus as tough competition for CSE branch below 3000 rank can get it and the 5000 or above rank can get Chennai campus in category 1. you can try other branches like civil EEE you may get it in category 2 or 3.

There is no much difference between CSE and ISE. There are only two differences
1. Name of both courses are different,
2. Few subjects in later semesters are different. The placements are also same.

It has good placements. The B.Tech programme started this year. For other courses like law, B.J. M. C. , etc. , VIP is an excellent college for good placements. A lot of top companies visit the campus every year for both internships and placements. If you have a decent GPA of 7.5+ you can be assured of getting a placement. Though the pay package of tech roles is definitely higher than non tech. You can expect average of 3-4 LPA for non tech and 5-6 LPA for tech roles. Around 80-90% of all the students in my batch were placed. To recruiting companies were wipro, TCS, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung and Tower Research.

First things first, the score card of JEE Advanced isn't displayed in form of percentile you'll directly see your marks and rank on the score card of JEE Advanced and assuming that you mean 80 marks by 80 percentile then if you'll have the reservation advantage you may get an IIT, though the branch won't be that good.
