Dear student, Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university with rank 9 under the "Engineering" category (NIRF). It offers a 5-year integrated postgraduate programme (M.Tech. In software engineering). As of now, there is no entrance exam-based criteria for this particular course. To be eligible, you must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State or Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with a 65% aggregate in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). It does have a merit-based fee structure as follows:
Category 1 tuition fee ( 1-3years): INR 96,000

Firstly you have to decide that you want: college over branch or branch over college. I think a better college is a good preference. Then after this, fill all the choices, firstly, IITs NITs IIITs and GFTIs. Then during the counselling process whenever you get a good college and if you are interested to take admission, then lock the choice and if uninterested, then you can go for further counselling.

As I SEE there is no information given on the website, I have searched so much, so I think you should wait for some days for new updates. You should visit the college If it is near your house for better details.

Apply in JOSAA then according to your preference fill the choices and lock them. After you are allotted with a college, take admission in it and do document's verification in the college for admission.

Always don't worry about the fees, and there is no such thing as good or bad, since you have not mention where you are from, I request you to search for colleges which provide concessions and scholarships, Then apply for them and you could literally study for free if you performed well.
