Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering provides placement opportunity to the students and every year almost all eligible students get placed in reputed multinationals companies and corporate. Electrical graduates are annually recruited by PSUs like NTPC, Power Grid , State Electricity Board and NHPC.

To be eligible in First Semester, candidates should have secured JEE (Advanced) AIR rank up to 12000 OR JEE (Main) Percentile of 97 and above. To be eligible from Second Semester onwards, candidates need to maintain a CGPA of 8.50 or above and no backlog

You will not get IIT or NIT because your all india rank is high. But you can get into a good private college. You can search colleges in Haryana and NCR area like gurugram, Faridabad, kurukshetra, Noida etc.

You can get admission in a state government college mostly but branch will be not too good. In central government college there is very few chance that you will get any seat, so you should try in government college of your state only.

Aspirants must get a minimum of 25% in order to qualify for the TS EAMCET exam. It indicates that out of 160 possible points, candidates must score 40 in order to pass the exam. It is difficult to get CSE branch.

Also with a category rank of around 8000, it will be hard for you to get a seat in any NITs IIITs and GFTIs for core branches such as CSE, ECE, etc. There are many colleges, in which you can get a swat with 10000 rank in COMEDK for CSE, and very easily for ece. As cse branch have higher cutoff than ece.
