For admission to B.Tech in Marine Engineering, students should have passed class XII with PCM as compulsory subjects, and an overall aggregate of 60%. The students must also qualify for IMU-CET to be eligible for admissions.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility requirements for admission to the B.Tech program:
Passed +2 with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2.
To get admission, the student must pass the IMU-CET.
Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under the given standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no colour blindness. The minimum height should be 157 centimeters
Having a valid passport is also mandatory.

Steps to apply for IMU CET
The candidates must first complete the registration. On submission of registration, the Application Number will be generated.
For accessing the application, the candidate should use the system-generated Application Number as 'Login ID' and his/her Date of Birth as the 'Password'.
The application requires students to fill additional personal details of the candidate, which must have true information.
The Preferred Choice of Exam Cities must be filled very carefully.
Finally, the candidates will be required to upload the documents and pay the CET Registration Fees to complete the process.
The student should take a print out of the fee receipt for future reference.
If the Class 12/UG Degree Exam results are awaited at the time of Online Registration, the candidate may choose the 'Awaiting Results' option.
You would require a minimum of 60-65% aggregate marks to be eligible which varies for each entrance.
