According to JEE Main rank in the range of 72000, general category will be unable to get a seat in CSE in high level NITs (such as Trichy, Warangal or Surathkal). But you stand good odds in CSE/IT in new NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Puducherry and NIT Srinagar, especially when you can get a home-state quota or a reserved category. Also, Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra; Assam University, Silchar and Tezpur University (in certain courses with respect to the CSE discipline) are also quite probable.
