Yes, the selection to BSc (Hons) is based on Karunya Entrance Exam (KEE) conducted by the university and Class 12 score. Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCB or PCMB or Agriculture with at least 50% aggregate to apply for the BSc (Hons) course. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent under vocational stream and studied Biology and Agricultural Practices as Vocational Subjects including theory and practical with 50% aggregate can also apply. KEE or Karunya Entrance Examination conducted every year for admission to UG courses of Engineering, Agriculture, Biosciences, Criminology, Management, Media, Design, Nursing, Health science, Data Science, Forensic Science, Commerce, Nanoscience, Optometry. The exam is conducted in online mode. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Students who did not clear the Uttarakhand Board 10th board examination can apply for UK Board Supplementary examinations. Instructions regarding the same will be released by the state board soon after the declaration of UK Board 10th Result 2026.
