There are two types of courses available: one is Diploma in fashion designing which is a 1-year course in which you will get job assistance from the institute after finishing the course and the other one is a 3-year course. It is offered as B.Sc in fashion designing which is a regular course where you will get to know everything about fashion designing and you will be getting internships also under any fashion designing house or boutique. Moreover, you will be given a guaranteed job in fashion designing field so the procedure is simply to choose the course which you like. B. Tech in Fashion Technology is a 4 year program and has variants like Bachelors in Fashion Designing. The course is completed over duration of eight semesters. The mode of admission is through an Entrance Examination carried out by different universities. B. Tech Fashion Technology graduates can choose from jobs like Costume Designing, Styling, Apparel Management and sectors like garment industries, textile machinery manufacturing industries etc. A fresh graduate of this course can expect a salary of between 10,000 INR 15,000 INR which would only increase with experience in the field.
