Hello, Pursuing a B.Sc. in Food Technology is a great choice, and BITS Pilani is an excellent institution to consider. However, BITS Pilani does not offer a specific B.Sc. degree in Food Technology. Instead, they offer undergraduate programs like B.E./B.Tech in related fields such as Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Biochemical Engineering, which can also lead to careers in food technology.

To get admission to BITS Pilani, you would need to appear for the BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test), which is the entrance exam for their undergraduate programs. The eligibility criteria usually require you to have completed your 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects, along with a good score in BITSAT.

Vasantrao Naik College of Food Technology, Parbhani, Maharashtra – This college is also providing the educational course in food technology at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It is affiliated to Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, undertaken in 1972. B.Tech Food Technology is a four year full time course where the candidate must have minimum 45 % aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The tenure of the Ph.D. programme in Food Technology is at least three years but not more than six years, The eligibility condition is Master's degree with not less than 55 % marks. The structure of the tuition fee for B.Tech programme is mentioned, but there are certain scholarships and financial aids provided by the college.

The fact that KSRDPRU, Gadag, is not well ranked nationally in terms of M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology makes him eligible. But, it has a niche in Karnataka for its teaching programs for decentralised development and related sectors like food science. The programme is also tailored towards the rural farming community by focusing on matters of concern within that sphere, technical skills, and techniques in food processing, food quality assurance as well as inResearch and innovations in Agronomic Development.

Though it is quite competitive across the region, it is not ranked nationally for this particular pfogram and does not appear in NIRF.
