The GATE 2024 registration window opened on 30 August 2023. Candidates must check GATE 2024 eligibility criteria before filling out the GATE 2024 application form. The marking scheme for all papers except papers- AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, XH, and XL is as follows -
- General Aptitude - 15 marks
- Engineering Mathematics - 13 marks
- Subject-specific questions - 72 marks

GA questions carry a total of 15 marks. The GA section includes 5 questions of 1 mark each (sub-total 5 marks) and 5 question of 2 marks each (sub-total 10 marks). Apart from GA section which is compulsory, the GG question paper consists of two parts namely Part A and Part B. Part A is compulsory for all the candidates.
