No, as per information brochure there is no change in GATE 2026 syllabus. This year, IIT Guwahati is conducting body for GATE 2026. The exam dates are February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Branch-wise exam dates have been announced.

Yes, GATE scores are mandatory requirement for admission in full time M.Tech. Whereas M.Tech part time admissions are based on marks in qualifying degree.

The GATE scorecard is valid for three years for MTech admission. If a candidate has more than one valid GATE score, then he/she must use the one with better GATE score. One can download their result scorecard using enrollment ID and password.

Hello Anurup Roy, frankly speaking Bachelor of engineering in mechanical engineering stream is also one of the best that you are doing. Of course the emploibility of those with background of CSE is always better in the current scenario of the industry and the business. My opinion or suggestion would be to complete your Mechanical engineering with flying colours and then for post graduation you can switch over to this stream.
