If you have a good GATE Score then it might become easier for you to get into a good institution and after that you will get Teaching Assistant Ship in that institution. In case, even you don't have good GATE score, then also there are institute that provides TA ship and many of the colleges have special scholarship for Obc and other reserved category students. Before taking admission, check whether the scholarship is available in that institution or not. For that, you can check their website or call them directly.

Following is the eligibility criteria-
Chemistry for three years/six semesters
or
Candidates having a Bachelors degree without (Major/Honours) must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters, (b) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Mathematics (c) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Physics
or
In B.Sc. /BS, at least six Chemistry subjects for three years/six semesters. At least FOUR courses as general elective (GE) from the following list of subjects taking at least one Physics and one Mathematics course: Physics Mathematics, Biology Biochemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology. What this means is that candidates who want to appear for IIT JEE exam must qualify their 12th with 75 per cent marks which is for the General and OBC category while 65 per cent cutoff is set for other reserved categories like SC, ST, PwD.

Hello Ammaneengla, oh, no. One can get into PG course only in the stream that one clears in GATE. Your being graduate in mechanical engineering will not help. Best wishes to you.

Hello! Sonal, Yes, you can apply for M.Tech distance education with/ without a GATE 2018. Some of the Universities and institutes offer such a course for working professionals. Some of the colleges also accept work experience relevant to the field and offer a distance M.

Hello Dear, Both COAP and CCMT are the gateway for admissions and without going through these counseling processes no candidate will be able to get admission based on GATE scores.

You should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or First class for M.Tech. Degree programmes. When you appear for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply. Yes, you are eligible for the M.Tech in Vit University.
