The pattern for the GATE exam includes:
Duration: The examination is for a duration of 3 hours. Type of Questions: The exam contains multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type questions. Number of Questions: The exam contains a total of 65 questions. Marking Scheme: MCQs are awarded 1 or 2 marks each and numerical answer type questions are awarded 2 marks each. There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for MCQs. Subjects: The exam covers subjects related to the candidate's engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, and more. Total Marks: The total marks for the GATE exam are 100.

GATE Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a competitive exam in India that tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology.
