PSU stands for Public Sector Undertakings. Referring to the GATE exams, PSUs are government-owned corporations or companies in which the majority of the ownership is with the government. Many PSUs in India use GATE scores as one of their criteria for recruitment of engineers at entry-level positions. By qualifying in the GATE exam, candidates can apply for job opportunities in PSUs, such as BHEL, ISRO, NABARD, GAIL, and more.
