GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. The GATE Exam has three major sections: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and the Core subject the candidate has opted for. The Engineering mathematics syllabus is almost same for every paper however, in some paper some topics may be added or removed from the given syllabus as per the requirement of the specific subject. GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. The GATE Exam has three major sections: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and the Core subject the candidate has opted for. General aptitude section is common for all the papers of the GATE Examination. Candidate must know the syllabus of the General Aptitude section  to prepare well for the examination. The GATE 2026 result will be announced on the official website. The GATE results 2026 dates will be updated along with the GATE 2026 dates. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE result and rank card in March 2026 (expected). Candidates can access their results using their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID and password.

GATE is a national-level examination that aims to evaluate the knowledge and aptitude of candidates in preparation for admission to engineering and management programmes. GATE Application Process 2025 began on August 28, 2024. Earlier, the deadline for registering for the GATE was October 3, 2024 (without late fees). However, The last date to fill the application form was extended with late fees till October 11, 2024. Candidates were able to fill out the GATE Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

IIT Roorkee has released the official syllabus in the GATE 2025 information brochure on official GATE 2025 website, i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. There are no changes expected in the GATE syllabus for the existing 30 papers. However, candidates are advised to check the official GATE 2025 information brochure for subject-wise GATE syllabus.

Candidates can apply for either one or maximum two papers only. They must choose the papers from the set of two-paper combinations listed in the GATE information brochure or GATE official website. The choice of appropriate paper is solely based on the candidate. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject.

 Now while filling GATE form, candidates can apply for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations out of the 30 papers. Candidates will be able to download the official GATE 2025 syllabus through GATE 2025 official website. Steps to download the GATE 2025 syllabus are as follows:

• Go to the official website of GATE 2025, i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

• Click on 'GATE PAPER AND SYLLABUS' section.

• Tap on the paper link to download the syllabus of subject, a PDF will appear. 

• Download and save the pdf.
