For me, GIBS Bangalore never felt like a college where you just attend classes and go back home. There was always something going on, so college life stayed interesting and you were constantly learning something new.

What I enjoyed the most was:

• Internship opportunities.

• Guest lectures.

• Industry visits.

• Workshops and fun learning activities.

• Placement training.

• Friendly faculty and a good campus atmosphere.

I think the biggest difference for me was the confidence I gained. I became more comfortable talking to people, working in teams, and trying new things. Looking back, I feel I learned a lot beyond academics, and that's what made my experience at GIBS really special.

What I liked was that the preparation didn't start only when placements came around. We were getting small bits of training throughout the course, so it never felt rushed.

Things that really helped were:

• Mock interviews to practice before the real ones.

• Communication and personality development sessions.

• Resume-building guidance.

• Group discussions and presentations.

• Guest sessions with industry professionals.

• Internship opportunities to get some real work exposure.

By the time placement season started, interviews didn't feel as scary because we'd already practiced so much. I felt much more confident compared to when I first joined, and that steady preparation really made a difference for me.

Yes, the placement information is available publicly, and from what I have seen, GIBS Bangalore has reported an average package of around 8–9 LPA and the highest package going up to around 20 LPA in recent years.

I did my studies at GIBS, and honestly, what impressed me was not just the highest package number. The college puts a lot of focus on helping students prepare for placements through mock interviews, aptitude training, presentations, internships, and industry interactions.

For me, the bigger thing was that students from different backgrounds were able to get good opportunities. Some got higher packages, some got average packages, but overall there were opportunities available for students who actively participated and worked on their skills.

And from GIBS, I truly got;

At the end of the day, I felt happy with the outcome because I got a good opportunity myself, and many of my friends also started their careers with decent packages. That's why whenever someone asks me about GIBS, I usually say the placement support and exposure were good parts of my experience. 

GIBS Business School believes that to be successful; students should have more than an academic foundation. Ways to Further Develop Students' Personalities:

• Communications Skills Program: In addition to the SoYL program, the Institute also provides its students with regular interactive sessions that improve students' public speaking, presentation skills, business communications ability and self-confidence.
•  Career Progression and Management Program (CPMP): This programme focuses on developing students' aptitude, enhancing their soft skills, preparing for and presenting themselves in interview situations, and overall professional development.
•  Exposure to Business: The Institute provides students the opportunity to build the necessary level of practical exposure to find their own ways to gain the confidence to achieve success.
•  Student Clubs and Activities: Engaging in various cultural, sports, management, and entrepreneurship clubs allows for the enhancement of creativity and developing teamwork and leadership skills.
• Mock Interviews and Group Discussions: The various activities available to GIBS students help to develop their abilities to communicate, critically analyze marketing concepts, and develop confidence in their overall professional presence.
•  Event Management Opportunities: Working to organize and participate in a variety of events allows for GIBS students to enhance their leadership, organizational, and coordination abilities needed to achieve personal success.

From my experience at GIBS Bangalore, placements were actually quite structured and preparation starts from the beginning itself. It's not something you suddenly face in the final semester — you keep getting trained through internships, presentations, communication sessions, and mock interviews.

As a student at GIBS Bangalore, one thing I really appreciated was how involved the faculty members were in student life. They don't just come, take classes, and leave. Whether it was orientation, college events, presentations, projects, or mentoring sessions, the faculty were always around to guide and support us.

Because, For me:

• They were approachable whenever we needed help or guidance

• During orientation, they made new students feel comfortable and welcomed

• They actively encouraged us to participate in events and activities

• Regular mentoring sessions helped with academics as well as career-related questions

• They were genuinely interested in seeing students grow and perform well

What I liked most was that the faculty felt more like mentors than just professors. Their involvement made it easier to learn, ask questions, and feel confident throughout the program.
