From my experience at GIBS Bangalore, placements were actually quite structured and preparation starts from the beginning itself. It's not something you suddenly face in the final semester — you keep getting trained through internships, presentations, communication sessions, and mock interviews.

• I am from 2025 batch and I personally got placed at around 9 LPA 

• My friend Suraj got a package of around 16 LPA

• Average range for many students is around 8–9 LPA

• the highest packages can go around 16–17 LPA+ depending on performance

• Internship support is given during the programme itself

• Regular placement training, aptitude practice, and interview preparation sessions

• Companies visit for roles in Finance, Marketing, HR, Sales, and Operations etc.

For me, GIBS felt like a place where you don't just study and wait for placements — you keep building your skills throughout, so when placements come, you are already ready and confident.

As a student at GIBS Bangalore, one thing I really appreciated was how involved the faculty members were in student life. They don't just come, take classes, and leave. Whether it was orientation, college events, presentations, projects, or mentoring sessions, the faculty were always around to guide and support us.

Because, For me:

• They were approachable whenever we needed help or guidance

• During orientation, they made new students feel comfortable and welcomed

• They actively encouraged us to participate in events and activities

• Regular mentoring sessions helped with academics as well as career-related questions

• They were genuinely interested in seeing students grow and perform well

What I liked most was that the faculty felt more like mentors than just professors. Their involvement made it easier to learn, ask questions, and feel confident throughout the program.

At GIBS Bangalore, students get multiple specialisation options, so you are not forced to stick to only one area from the beginning. One good thing is that students also get an option for dual specialization, which helps if you want knowledge across two domains and want broader career opportunities.

One very unique programme at GIBS is their Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship (IRE) School, which is involved in the PGDM Programs.

What is the IRE Program?

The IRE acronym stands for:

This programme has been designed in a way to provide practical action-based learning where students have the opportunity to develop:

GIBS Business School recognizes the value of attendance and participation as critical components of its practical, industry-focused education model. Students who are frequently absent from lectures, skills training or assessments may experience a number of academic and professional consequences.

Some of those commonly cited consequences are:

• Low attendance may result in students not being permitted to take the internal or final examinations.
• Absenteeism from skills training can seriously affect communication skills, personality development and future placement preparation.
• Students may lose their internal marks that were associated with their presentations, case studies, assignments, team project and practical activities.
• Continuous absenteeism from assessments and other significant training may adversely affect the student's overall academic performance and preparedness for placement in the workforce.
• If a student continues to have poor attendance, a faculty mentor will contact the student for a meeting for counseling purposes.

Participation in workshops, mentoring, presentations and industry activities is a primary emphasis of GIBS as these experiences are seen as a part of professional development instead of simply classroom learning.
