Admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course at Mata Kaushalya Government Hospital is on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in 12th class and not through a different entrance test. The candidate should have passed 10+2 with English and obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Science stream is preferred but not compulsory. It is mostly merit-based based on qualifying exam marks, and candidates belonging to recognized boards such as State Open School and NIOS are also eligible. There is no separate entrance test taken for admission to GNM here.

JSS Nursing College Mysuru's admission for the GNM course typically starts around January or February each year, with the induction programme often taking place in January. The induction programme for the 36th batch of GNM students was held on January 1, 2024. Admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year are likely to be announced soon, potentially with the application form available around late January or February 2025.

  • Professional Registration: RN/RM Certification from any State Nursing Council in India
