In Goa university, There is an Academic qualification required to be eligile to take the admssion for data science. these are as follows:
- A candidate should pass 10+2 board exams with recognised board (CBSE, ICSE, state board etc.)
- Minimum 55% marks from 10+2 board exams are required for exams.
- A candidate should have math subject in their 10+2 stream (doesn't depend upon the type of stream but math subject is must).

In the Goa University, the passing rates are divergent in both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Students under the UG have to pass a minimum of 40 percent aggregate mark on a combination of theory and practical. In respect to PG, both internal and end-of the semester assessment needs a minimum of 50 percent. Such criteria are able to support academic standards and fairness of all courses.

The following is the selection criteria at Goa University:-
- The candidate should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with minimum 40% in the final year.
- Along with that, the candidate need to qualify the entrance exam GU-ART. This entrance exam is conducted by the university itself.
Students will be provided admission based on the seats availabe and GU-ART rank of the student. You can apply for MA from the official website of the university.

Goa University NEET UG cutoff 2024 ranged between 10898 and 14834 for the OBC category students in the AI quota. So, students with a cutoff rank of 14000 have the chance to get a call from the university for MBBS admission. However, the NEET UG cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and categories. Tabulated below is the NEET UG round-wise cutoff ranks for the OBC category students in the All India quota:

So, as per the above data, candidates with a rank of 14000 are not eligible to take in the initial two rounds because the cutoff ranks are more competitive during the first two rounds.

Admission to Goa University is conducted through NEET MDS scores. Based on the scores, the Goa University cutoff 2024 is released for the candidates. As per the NEET MDS cutoff released, candidates need to acquire a rank of 496 for MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology to get into Goa University based on NEET MDS scores.

Goa University conducts a Common Law Admission Test (GU-CLAT) for admission to BA LLB programme. Besides, candidates must also Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST and 42% aggregate for OBC) for BA LLB admission. The university releases a merit list based on HSc and GU-CLAT scores of the aspirants with 50% weightage to each of them.
