Goa University offers the Merit Scholarship, Free Studentship, Student Aid Fund, Research Studentship to BSc students. The University also offers the earn while you learn scheme in addition to scholarships from Government and Non-Government agencies. The Directorate of Students Welfare coordinates and supports activities such as financial support through the Student Aid Fund and Earn While You Learn Scheme.

The university accepts NEET SS scores followed by NEET SS Counselling for admission to the said course. Goa University cutoff for M.Ch. in Neuro Surgery closed at 1514 after Round 1 Seat Allotment results for General category All India candidates. Goa University cutoff for various MD and MS courses is based on NEET PG scores followed by the NEET PG Counselling. As per the NEET PG Round 2 cutoff, the closing rank for MS courses fell between 5970 and 11509 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Among all the MS specialsilations, the most competitive one was Obstetrics & Gynecology, followed by General Surgery.
