GPA meaning Grade Point Average, measures the academic performance of students for a single semester, while CGPA meaning Cumulative Grade Point Average is the average of all GPAs across an entire degree. The GPA is also referred to as SGPA or Semester GPA. CGPA is calculated by averaging all the GPAs received throughout a degree.

For California State University, Los Angeles admissions to UG courses, Indian students are required to have passed high school. Minimum 3.0 GPA is required in the academic coursework in the last 3 years of high school. Whereas, Indian students who want to take admission to PG courses of Cal State Uni LA, a GPA of 2.5 is required.
