Yes, being good at drawing will be major plus point for graphic design students. Candidates are informed that a major part of the Graphic Design job profile is such that aspirants do not need to draw by hand. Thus, in order to excel in this field, it is not mandatory to be good at drawing.

On a typical workday, graphic designers need to use art/graphics to enhance as well as promote a product, enterprise, and the like. Hence, good drawing skills are required especially for the entrance examinations which require candidates to demonstrate their drawing aptitude and sketching skills in order to pursue these courses.

Digiquest Institute of Creative Arts & Design offers 100 percent placement according to their website but I've met some of the students who didn't. The highest average salary is 4-5lac per annum, the lowest- 1.5-2lac, Average-2-3lac Almost 40 percent of students from my batch got an internship from college. Depending on the nature and duration of the course one may decide whether it is equivalent to engineering or not. Engineering is a 4 year degree course.
