NO, you are not eligible for MA English. B.A. (Hons.)/ B.A. under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at B.A. level. The subject in which admission is sought must be a Hons. subject at B.A. (Hons.) level/subject studied in all the three parts at B.A. level.

BA is a widely accepted course but you have to choose a good combination of subjects according to your interests. So varieties of the subject will be available in deemed and famous universities like DU, BHU, Allahabad University, etc.
