This depends on the university you are applying for. If the university has mandated giving IELTS score, then you need to appear for the examination, and give your test score. The minimum IELTS score varies from 5.5 to 7. IELTS is commonly accepted English language proficiency test accepted globally.
But universities give you several alternatives to IELTS to study in Dubai. Hence, look for the university that fits you best, and does not require an IELTS score to process your application. Some universities also have their own interview, or assessment to judge your English proficiency.

The IELTS syllabus test your skills in four main areas – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The Listening and Speaking parts are same for both Academic and General Training types. But the Reading and Writing sections are different depending on which version you take.

The minimum IELTS test score requirement varies for different courses & level of studies. However, the general IELTS (Academic) test score requirement is 6.5.
Moreover, the institute also accepts TOEFL, Pearson Test of English (PTE) & C1 Advanced as valid proof of English language proficiency.

Mostly, yes! You need an IELTS score to study in Ireland. One must score a minimum of 6.0 to 6.5 band score on a scale of 9.0 band. Note that the minimum IELTS scores required to get admitted may vary as per the university and courses you select.

Yes, Keck Graduate Institute accepts IELTS exam as a part of English language requirement. KGI offers admissions for international students on rolling basis. International students whose native language is not English, must submit proof of English proficiency at KGI.
