It depends. Some students find IELTS easier because it feels more real and friendly. The Speaking test in IELTS is face-to-face with an examiner, not with a computer like in PTE or TOEFL. But TOEFL has more academic-style English, and PTE gives fast results.

Yes, now you can take IELTS One Skill Retake. You can retake only one part like Speaking, Listening, Reading, or Writing. You don't need to do the full test again.
This is only for people who did the full IELTS test on computer and are not happy with one part. You must do it within 60 days of your test.

The IELTS exam fee in India 2025 is about INR 18,000. The price can change a little depending on the test centre. This fee is for both IELTS Academic and General Training. If you want to send your score to more universities or change the test date, you may need to pay extra.

Yes, sometimes. If your previous education was in English or you have other tests (TOEFL/PTE), IELTS may not be necessary.

Yes, you can get an Italian student visa without IELTS if your university don't need it. Students who studied before in English maybe don't have to take the test. But you still need other papers like a passport, acceptance letter from the university, proof you have money, and health insurance.

IELTS is not always needed for studying in Italy. Lots of universities might let you in even without an IELTS score, mainly if your acceptance letter doesn't ask for it.
