IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is an exam conducted all over the world. To synchronize the time in South Asian countries the exam normally starts in India by 12 noon. You have band score from 0 to 9 band. 0 means you don't know abcd 9 means you are the best user of the language. You need to take over all band score of 6.5 band and each component minimum 6 band for admission in PG level.
Reading writing and Listening will be conducted together each one hour. Speaking test will one to one with examiner it will be 15 to 20 minutes. Reading has three passages and you have to write answers for 40 ques

You take IELTS need not take TOEFL . IELTS. is accepted all over the world. For taking coaching search for on line coaching from various parts if India. Shiksha and Sulekha websites also have many coaching centers registered with reviews and comments

Hi Naveen,
You can look for Asian countries like Singapore which do not necessarily require IELTS or TOEFL. 5.0 IELTS is not accepted elsewhere so you must look for universities offering waivers or simply retake IELTS. Hope this helps.

Hello Zala, possible but you must contact universities yourself. They will decide if TOEFL or IELTS can be waived basis your grades and profile. Prior education from an English medium school also helps. Please note that TOEFL is widely accepted compared to IELTS in the US.

Dear Akshar, you must take both. Infact take TOEFL instead of IELTS if you plan to study in US. TOEFL OR IELTS are tests for English language proficiency. GRE on the other hand is the aptitude test testing your skills in reasoning, Mathematics and so on. Read more about the tests and understand the differences.
