OET Exam and IELTS Exam are both popular English proficiency tests. OET is only for healthcare workers, while IELTS is for general or academic use. Many people find OET easier because the topics are related to their medical field only. However, IELTS covers a wider range of topics. It depends on your background.

Australian National University considers fulfilling the English Language requirements by international students as a top priority before applying for admissions. For IELTS scores, the requirement for undergraduate programs and post graduate programs is a minimum score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0. Moreover, the university also accepts scores of the following tests as English language proficiency requirement:
