IIIT Sri City M.Tech admissions are taken, either through GATE or IIIT Sri city own application process. The eligibility and selection criteria for M.Tech is given below:

CourseEligibilitySelection Criteria
MTech

For GATE:

  • BE/ BTech in CSE or ECE or equivalent specialisation.

For Non-GATE:

  • BE/ BTech in CSE or ECE or any equivalent specialisation with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PWD) from a recognised University.

For GATE:

  • GATE
  • Counselling and Admission process will be conducted by CCMT

For Non- GATE:

  • Candidates having a Undergraduate degree from CFTI institute with more than 8.0 CGPA, will be selected on the basis of merit and then they have to appear for a coding test and a personal interview conducted by IIIT Sri City.
  • Candidates who do not have an undergraduate degree from CFTI institute or graduated from a CFTI institute but have less than 8.0 CGPA, will have to appear for a written test conducted by IIIT Sri City, followed by the coding test and interview.

A student at IIIT Sri City must attend atleast 85% of total classes conducted. If attendance is less than 85%, the student will be downgraded.

If due to any medical reasons, the attedance of a student falls in the range of 70%- 85%, then he/she might get exempted on submission of relevant medical documents as per the norms of the Institute. If the attendance, after claiming for medical reasons, is still below 85% then there'll be one grade reduction.

If the attendance is below 70%, the student is given an F grade.

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, IIIT Sri City, located in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, does not offer a specific M.Tech. programme in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML). Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 22860 and closing rank was 29951. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Sri City - Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIIT Sri City - Indian Institute of Information Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 43638. In 2022, it increased to 46486. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 56374 to 60593 for OBC, 187340 to 171271 for SC, 285271 to 282909 for ST, 52969 to 56425 for EWS, 32720 to 1974 for PWD. For admission to BTech at IIIT Sri City, the institute generally releases 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis and the seats are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The JEE Main score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Sri City - Indian Institute of Information Technology other than General category are - 42097 for OBC, 152005 for SC, 247464 for ST, 38857 for EWS, 714222 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

For 2022, cut off was 29951 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Sri City - Indian Institute of Information Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota 0 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
