IIM-B offers a full-time, one-year residential executive programme called the Executive Post Graduate Post Graduate Programme (E-PGP) in Management in addition to its standard full-time MBA and PGP programmes. The online application form must be submitted in order to begin the IIM Bangalore Executive MBA admissions process. A valid GMAT or GRE score is a requirement for admission to the IIM Bangalore Executive MBA programme. The interview panel assesses the performance of each candidate based on a variety of factors, including social sensitivity, diversity, leadership, and multifacetedness. There are three rounds to the IIM-B E-PGP selection procedure. Applications may be submitted during any of these three phases by candidates.

Candidates should be aware that IIM Bangalore does not only require a class 12 qualification in order to admit students to its postgraduate programmes, such as the MBA. Admission to IIM Bangalore is exclusively determined by entrance. The institute provides PG, PhD, and certificate-level management courses in addition to MBA and Executive MBA programmes. Depending on the subject they have chosen, applicants to IIM Bangalore must take entrance tests at the college or national level. A valid CAT exam score is required for admission to the flagship programme, the IIM Bangalore MBA. This is followed by rounds of written ability tests (WAT) and personal interviews (PI).

No, IIM Bangalore or any other IIMs do not offer reservation of seats to the students. However, the qualifying criteria for General and reserved categories are comparatively different. The admission to the IIM's are provided on the basis of CAT and there are certain reservations in the IIM's including the EWS reservation of 10%. Apart from it, there are other reservations such as PwD, SC, ST, Non-creamy Backward class, OBC. There are no women reservation available. The reservation guidelines that IIMs follow are as follows: 15% of seats at the IIMs are set aside for Scheduled Castes (SC) 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST) 27% for Other Backward Classes from the "non-creamy" layer (NC-OBC).

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent CGPA (45% for those in the SC, ST, or PwD categories) in order to be selected for IIM Bangalore. Admission to IIM Bangalore in 2024 is exclusively through entrance. A valid CAT exam score is required for admission to the flagship programme at IIM Bangalore, the MBA. This is followed by rounds of written ability tests and personal interviews.

International students can apply to IIM Bangalore via the GMAT or GRE, and the Indian students can apply using CAT. The IIM-B exams are administered by IIM Bangalore in order to admit students to PhD and Executive MBA (EPGP) programs. 

CAT (Common Aptitude Test) 2023 was held in the month of November, 2023 and the results are expected to be out in the month of January 2024. However, the answer keys are out and candidates who have attempted for the November examination can check their answers on the official website. They can also submit objections, if any, until December 8^th. For now, the IIM, Bangalore expected CAT cutoff 2023 on the basis of 2022 CAT percentile for different categories is as follows:
