You can meet peers in the PGPEM at IIMB with a variety of backgrounds and work experiences. Since IIMB is a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management, PGPEM students can take advantage of this network to learn about how businesses can expand internationally. A two-year postgraduate programme in management (PGP) is available at IIM Bangalore. A full-time residential programme, the IIM MBA is designed for graduates of all fields who wish to pursue a career in management. The flagship course offered by IIMB, the PGP course spans six trimesters and includes an intermediary summer project. It leads to a Master's degree in Business Administration. Enrolling in the Double Degree (DD) programme at IIM Bangalore PGP gives students the chance to earn two degrees.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent CGPA (45% for those in the SC, ST, or PwD categories) in order to be selected for IIM Bangalore. Admission to IIM Bangalore in 2024 is exclusively through entrance. A valid CAT exam score is required for admission to the flagship programme at IIM Bangalore, the MBA. This is followed by rounds of written ability tests and personal interviews.

International students can apply to IIM Bangalore via the GMAT or GRE, and the Indian students can apply using CAT. The IIM-B exams are administered by IIM Bangalore in order to admit students to PhD and Executive MBA (EPGP) programs.
