GATE 2026 answer key link has been activated . Authorities has also released response sheet and question paper along answer key. Candidates can download GATE answer key using enrollment ID and password.

IIT Guwahati has started the GATE 2026 registration process on August 28. The application form facility is open at the GOAPS portal. The deadline has been revised. As per the latest update, candidates who want to apply for GATE can check the dates and submit as per their convenience. The last date to submit the application form without late fees is October 6 (revised) and till October 9 with late fees.

No, it is not easy to get admission at IIT Guwahati as the institute conducts its admission process through accepted entrance exams conducted by various authorities. Some of the popular entrance exams accepted by the institute are JEE Main, CAT, GATE, CEED, NET, JEE Advanced, etc. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify for its cutoff.

The BTech scholarships at IIT Guwahati have different eligibility criteria. Some of them are merit based scholarships where, the candidates are offered BTech scholarships due totheir high score in either the JEE Advanced exam or their last qualifying exam. Candidates who belong to the SC/ST groups are also awarded scholarships if they can prove that they belong tosuch categories.

For the SC category students under the AI quota, the JEE Advanced cutoff ranks varied between 183 and 2080 for core branches, including CSE, ECE, Civil, Chemical, etc. For the core branches, mostly the cutoffs are on the higher side for admission. The JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 for BTech admission ranged between 792 and 10727 in the final round for the general quota. For students belonging to the EWS category, the closing ranks were between 118 and 1661 for BTech admission in the last round. After looking at the cutoff range, it is evident that the EWS category had competitive cutoff ranks for admission as compared to the General category students.
