IIT Guwahati UCEED cutoff 2026 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing rank for B.Des admission was 44 for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AII India quota. Therefore, candidates must target a lower cutoff rank to secure a seat at this institute.

Whether 50 in UCEED a good rank for IIT Guwahati depends on the category the student belongs to. For students belonging to the General AI category, the cutoff rank in round 1 was 77. Therefore, attaing a rank of 50 can secure a seat at the college, for the General AI category candidates. Among the OBC AI category students, the cutoff rank was closed at 44. Thus, for the OBC AI category candidates, it is not possible to get a seat at the college with 50 rank in UCEED. Similarly, for other categories also, it is difficult as the rank required is quite lower.

CSE is one of the most sought after specialisation at IIT Guwahati. As per the last round of cutoff release in 2024, the cutoff rank for CSE among the General AI category candidates was 623. In 2023, the cutoff rank for CSE was closed at 654. Morever, in 2022, the cutoff rank for the aforementioned category and speciallisation closed at 589. Therefore, looking at the cutoff rank over the past few years, it was evident that there has been a fluctuating trend for admission to BTech in CSE.

IIT Guwahati offers courses in UG, PG and PhD level for the durations varying from 2 years to 4 years in full-time mode. The Institute offers these courses based on entrance. IIT Guwahati offer M.Tech for the duration of 2 years in various specialisations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Science and Technology, etc. via 11 Departments. IIT Guwahati M.Tech admission is entrance-based. Further, the M.Tech selections are done based on the exam and counselling rounds.
