To get IIT you do not need to be a superhuman. 80 to 90 percent of the IITians are average students and they work very hard to get into IIT. According to me, Challenges depend on person to person. Some people adjust quickly according to the situation and some people take a lot of time to adjust to the same situation. Everyone has a different opinion of the same situation. All the sacrifices and the hard work are worth it when you are successful in life.

There's no cutoff as such at DOMS IIT Madras. The department calculates a composite score based on your profile and CAT score. Based on the composite score, people get calls for interview. After the interview, interview marks will be added to the composite score and then admissions are given to the candidates in descending order of the final scores. The weightage of various components in your profile, CAT score and interview marks will not be revealed.
