1. Open the official website and register.
2. Fill in the required details and complete the registration.
3. Fill the detailed application form. In this step, candidates have to provide details of educational qualifications, parents' details, address of communication and permanent address, and exam center preference.
4. Upload scanned images of passport-size photographs and signature.
5. Pay the application fee.
6. The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees.

Admission criteria to IIT Dharwad is both, merit and entrance based. The eligibility criteria to get into IIT DHARWAD programmes is graduation in any discipline (this may vary from course to course) with a minimum aggregate of 60%, along with entrance exams. For UG courses, candidates need to acquire a minimum aggregate of 75% in Class 12, along with valid entrance scores.

IIT Dharwad offers admission to all its courses on the basis of both, merit and entrance scores. IIT Dharwad accepts national-level entrance exams. The college accepts JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KCET, GATE, etc. scores for admission to its courses.
