It is an informal designation. People call NIPER the "IIT of Pharmacy" because the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research institutes occupy a position in pharmaceutical education somewhat similar to what the IITs occupy in engineering.

NIT Raipur offers an MSc degree that is considered highly prestigious, even though IITs are often ranked higher. Since both institutes admit students through the same IIT JAM exam, the academic level of your peers is very high. The curriculum is strictly aligned with national standards, making you eligible for the same research roles and PhD opportunities.

IIT Pallakad offers a two-year MSc programme at PG level. Candidates can check below the MSc courses being offered at IIT Palakkad:

• MSc in Chemistry 

Candidates wishing to take admission in M.Tech at IIT Palakkad should have passed BTech in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate score. They need to qualify GATE exam and undergo CCMT counselling process for getting a seat.

IIT Bombay released the detailed exam pattern for UCEED 2027 on October 01, 2026. The exam pattern will be outlined in the information brochure for the UCEED 2026 exam. The candidate will be able to download the brochure online.

As per the IIT Bhilai placement drive 2024-25, 139 students were placed out of a total of 189 registered. The overall average and median package offered to the students was INR 13.28 LPA and INR 11.4 LPA, respectively. 

Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai is a government college recognised by the UGC and AICTE. Some of the top USPs are as follows:

• It has been ranked 72nd in the NIRF ranking 2025 under the 'Engineering ' category.
• As per IIT Bhilai placement report released by the institute for 2024-25, the overall average and median package offered to BTech students was INR 15.1 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively.

IIT Dharwad and IIT Bombay are 2 significant engineering institutes in the country. IIT Bombay is one of the oldest IITs, while IIT Dharwad is a third generation IIT mentored by IIT Bombay. IIT Dharwad offers significant placement packages to the students. The highest and average packages in the 2025 placements stood at INR 38.5 LPA and INR 14.65 LPA,  respectively. Overall 109 companies participated in the placement season,  Amazon, Oracle, TCS, and Cognizant were among the top recruiters.
