Candidates must pass bachelor's degree or equivalent in any subject with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD) to pply for MPP or Master of Public Policy programme at IIT Tirupati.

IIT Tirupati considers national-level entrance exam scores for admission. The institute offers admission via JEE Advanced in BTech.
