This time it's percentile and not percentage, which means if your son gets 52 percentile that is your son is 52 percent ahead of other students and 48 percent below other students. And, to qualify JEE Mains exam you need to get 70 percentile. Good luck.

I am afraid, what you are seeking is just not feasible. For getting admission in any IIT, one has to appear for and get good rank in JEE Mains and JEE advanced. It's the rank in later that will decide your chances of admission.
