If your son is in 9th grade now, it will be good if he joins IIT Foundation programme from any leading Test prep organisation in this year. And he should start appearing in various olympiad exams, so that he will how is he performing compared to others in his school, town, across country, etc.
He will clearly know the difference between answering the board exam and competitive exam.

The study material of fitjee, VMC, resonance and such well known coaching institutes are more or less the same. What matters is how much time you give to studying, how hard you work, and how determined are you. Also, getting your doubts cleared is very important.

You should choose IIT.It is best I also choose IIT for software engineer

in engineering basic physics and maggu type physics needed.but u should try to solve alot of questions.

u have passed in maths so no worry but college will definitely see Your pcm % if have high score in phy and chem its ok then

IIT is always a best choice to be engineer, it not only teaches u engineering bt a lot different thing also

for IIT colleges u have to clear the cutt off. but clearing cutt off doesn't gurantee Your admission. Your rank should be under 8000 for IIT colleges. and if u want good one with good branches. then u have to work hard and Your rank sjould be in 2000-3000.

There is a big differnce between NIT AND IIT. its like comparing rolls royce with mercedes. although both are govt colleges. its not that all IIT are good. even nit' are also good. even nit patna is much better than IIT patna. so there is a differnce but it will nit effect Your quality of education. they both are equally best colleges.
