 Yes, M.Tech from IIT is tough, as IITs have a reputation for excellence, and that extends to M.Tech programs. Moreover, M.Tech dives deeper into specialised areas, often involving research projects. Plus, you are surrounded by brilliant minds, hence you'll be constantly on your toes to keep up. It's a stimulating push, but can also be intensely pressurising.

You are typically not eligible for BTech programs at IITs as a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) student with 61% in the 12th grade, as these programs demand a solid background in mathematics (PCM). However, some universities may be able to accept you into their BSc biotechnology programs. However, IITs normally demand PCM in addition to JEE Advanced for admission. You might think about other prestigious universities that accept PCB students for biotechnology, such as Delhi University or IISERs.

Both IITs and IIIT Bangalore are famous for their strong reputation and top quality education. Both colleges are ranked by NIRF.
