The University provides a five-year integrated course called B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course.The University provides an LL.M. (Master of Laws) programme that lasts one year. In order to graduate from the National Law University and Judicial Academy in Assam's one-year LL.M. degree, students must complete three required papers, six elective papers, and a dissertation. 

The University provides a five-year integrated course called B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course. For the first three years of school, every topic is required. But in the fourth and fifth years, students can choose from five different streams of optional subjects: Corporate and Intellectual Property Law; Administrative and Constitutional Law; Consumer Protection and Environmental Law; Criminal Law and Criminology; and International Law and Human Rights. The Semester System is used by the NLUJA. There are two semesters in each academic year, making the complete Five-Year Course divided into ten semesters.

The LLM programme at NLUJAA lasts for a year. The course offers seven different specialisations. The following is a list of LLM specialisations:

A passing CLAT score is a requirement for admission to the NLUJAA LLM programme. In order to receive their final seat assignment, students must also go through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) counselling process run by CNLU.

Constitutional law, international trade law, administrative law, human rights & international humanitarian law, security & investment law, etc. are among the specialisations offered by LLM colleges in India. 

By passing the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, the Assam government established the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). It's one of India's autonomous law schools. In 2021 the institute was ranked 20 among the law universities by NIRF. The NLUJAA offers a one-year degree curriculum in LLM and a five-year integrated course in BA-LLB (Hons). A PhD in law is also offered by the university. The 60-acre, lush, verdant campus is located outside of Guwahati in the Amingaon neighbourhood. The academic and administrative buildings, as well as the dorms for boys and girls, are located on campus. 

The National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, which was passed by the Assamese government, founded the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. The University provides a five-year integrated course B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course. A one-year LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree programme is also offered by the university. There are two hostels: one for boys and one for girls. Both have a smoke-free kitchen, a large eating area, a reading hall, a yoga studio, a prayer hall, a library, and a dining area. Hostels can accommodate single or double occupancy.
