The general BSc Interior Design course duration in India is 3 years, which is spread across 6 semesters. You can get admission to the course after completing Class 12 in any stream with at least 50% marks in board exams and clearing relevant entrance tests for top Design institutes. Several colleges also give admission based on Class 12 board exam marks and other rounds like GD, PI, and portfolio submission.

The BSc Interior Design salary for freshers straight out of college is around 4 to 6 LPA. Which differs on the basis of internship experience, skill set, job type, recruiter, and the company location. With years of experience in the design field, the earning potential will also increase and can easily go up to INR 10 LPA.

You will be required to have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry with either Mathematics or Biology. The majority of the institutes have a minimum aggregate of 45-60 percent, depending on category and college.

There are also some private colleges in which admission is made directly based on Class 12 performance without considering the entrance examination scores. They tend to be more expensive (in terms of tuition fees), offer more management quota places, and have a quicker process for admission.
