In Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, most engineering colleges admit student based on their performance in entrance exams like JEE Main and state-level entrance exams, rather than solely on intermediate 12th-grade marks however, some colleges offer direct admission based on 12th-grade marks through management quota or specific programs.
