NBSE HSLC Exam 2026: Syllabus, Question Papers, Pattern, Preparation, Routine, Admit Card, Result

The NBSE HSLC Exam is the High School Leaving Certificate exam conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) for the class 10 students in the state. NBSE HSLC exam tests students' knowledge in subjects like Maths, English, Social Science, Science, second language etc. Students need to obtain at least 33% marks to pass the NBSE HSLC exams. The board is expected to hold the NBSE HSLC exams 2026 in February and March 2026.

The students should check the NBSE HSLC exam pattern before starting their preparation. The board releases the official NBSE 10th exam pattern in the form of sample papers. Students can download it from board'w ebsite and prepare for the exams accordinly. In NBSE HSLC exams, both objective (MCQs) and subjective (Short and long) type questions are asked. Each NBSE class 10 exam paper is held for a toal of 100 marks and the students are given 3 hours to write the paper. The students need to secure at least 33% marks in each paper to pass the exams.

Sometime, NBSE may revise the Nagaland Board 10th exam date due to any unforseen circumstances. If the board revise the NBSE HSLC routine, the students should revise their study plan accordingly. As soon as the NBSE HSLC routine 2026 is released, the students should replan their study schedule. The students should give more time to subjects based on gaps between exams. They should also give more time to weak paper and paper for which the exams will be held early. The NBSE 10th admit card is expected to be released in February 2026. Usually, the board releases the NBSE HSLC admit card at least 10 days before the final exams. In case any student lose their NBSE HSLC admit card, they must contact their school immediately. Thereafter, the school will contact NBSE for a duplicate NBSE 10th admit card. The students are suggested to keep their NBSE HSLC admit cards safe until the academic cycle gets over.

Students are allowed to bring their NBS HSLC admit card to the exam hall. Without it, no students are allowed to write the paper, Also, the students should carry a photi ID proof to the exam cente. Apart from these two documents, the students should also carry essential stationery like pens, and pencils. Students must note that the electronic devices are completely prohibited inside the exam hall.

If any student fails in one or two subjects in NBSE HSLC exams, they will have another option to appear for the compartment exams. Students who are failed in maximum two subjects can apply for NBSE 10th compartment exams which is held in July month. Students can also apply for re-evaluation or re-checking of their answer sheets if they are not satisfied with their marks in the exams.

Yes, NBSE allows the students to apply for re-evaluation. After declration of result, many students feel unsatisfied with their marks. For such students, the board accepts the NBSE HSLC result scrutiny application. The board will announce an exact date to submit the application for re-evaluation. The students will require to pay a certain amount while submitting the NBSE HSLC result scrutiny application form.

The NBSE HSLC Exam results are declared online on the official NBSE website. The board announced the NBSE HSLC result 2025 on April 25, 2025. To check the result, the students need to visit the official website at nbsenl.edu.in. Students can access their results by entering their roll number on the website. After a week or two, schools receive the original copies of NBSE HSLC result marksheet.
