NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering), Mumbai which was established in the year 1963 by the Govt. of India with the assistance of UNDP and ILO has now been named IIM, Mumbai. The change was made on July 12th, 2023 after the Union cabinet approved an amendment to the IIM Act, making it the second IIM (Indian Institute of Management) in Mumbai, Maharashtra alongside IIM Nagpur. The institute celebrated its Diamond Jubliee completion this year and has been ranked 7th in the Management category by NIRF.

IIM Mumbai is one of the top colleges and offers various courses. The University has a well-qualified faculty and has good knowledge regarding everything and they are friendly also. The university has the topmost recruiters and provides a good placement there are a total of 161 recruiters in the college. The top recruiters of the college are Apple, Zepto, Accenture Strategy Wipro, etc. The placement sector of the college includes Consulting, BFSI, FMCG, Pharma and Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail & Ecommerce, and Logistics.
