Hello Fawzad, yes, you are absolutely right. Top 2.5 Lacs students as per ranking will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced irrespective of their percentiles. Best wishes to you.

The JEE Advanced eligibility criteria of 10+2 students are given below.
1. Candidates should have compulsorily passed JEE Main 2021 (Paper 1). It is also necessary for them to be among the top 2,50,000 candidates.
2. Age : For JEE Advanced 2021, the candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. However, SC, ST and PwD candidates will get a relaxation of 5 years (born on or after October 1, 1991).
3. JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2021 for marks : The eligibility criteria of minimum 75% marks in class 12 has been waived off for JEE Advanced 2021 due to covid pandemic. In normal situations, for admissions into IITs,

JEE Advanced is conducted among the JEE Main qualifiers only. So you can not be eligible for JEE Advanced without qualifying the JEE Main exam. You have to first register and appear in upcoming JEE Main exams conducted in the month of March and April 2021.

Hello Pritam, it's very nice to hear from you that last year you were able to register yourself for appearing in JEE Advanced examination. This indicates that amongst the top two and half Lacs students of JEE Mains. But I am afraid your ranking and your efforts of JEE Mains last year do not carry forward to current academic year. You will be again required to appear for JEE Mains and also be in the top two and half Lacs students to be able to register for JEE Advanced once again. Best wishes to you.

Hello Gourav Yadav, it's actually very tough to predict the percentile since for calculating this one needs to know the total number of students who appeared for the examination along with their marks and also the highest and the lowest marks scored by students in this examination. This will be known only to National testing agency. Hi, after 12th when a student desires to take admission in any IIT, the only exam that they have to give are JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. There are no other exams that are required to be given. Best wishes.

Hello Khaalish Ali, admissions to IIIT's are based on the performance of JEE Mains and not on JEE Advanced. Hence by chance you have performed poorly in Mains but quite good in Advanced, I am afraid, it is of no use. Best wishes to you.
